Collection: Boetti Alighiero Fabrizio

Alighiero Fabrizio Boetti (Turin, 16 December 1940 – Rome, 24 April 1994) was an Italian artist.
Together with Giovanni Anselmo, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Luciano Fabro, Jannis Kounellis, Mario Merz, Giulio Paolini, Pino Pascali, Giuseppe Penone, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Emilio Prini and Gilberto Zorio, he was part of the Arte povera group. At the same time, he was also one of the first to distance himself from it.
Boetti proposes to himself systems in which to act, often involving other people. Or geography, mathematics, geometry, postal services, provide the platform for his choices. His work questions the traditional role of the artist, questioning the concepts of seriality, repetition and paternity of the work of art.
