Collection: Berlingeri Caesar

Cesare Berlingeri, known as the master of folded canvases, stands out for his original use of the canvas, which when folded marks itself. He uses pigments with vibrant colors, prepared by himself, and a minimalist sign that recalls natural and original concepts. His career has developed through various forms of expression, from painting to theatrical scenography and site-specific installations, consolidating himself as a prominent figure in contemporary art.
He began painting at a very young age. In the 1960s he worked as a church decorator. In 1968 he traveled to Europe, immersing himself in the world of contemporary culture. The 1970s saw him in Rome, where he began his career as a set and costume designer for theater and television and was responsible for the Art sector of the CIF cultural service centers in Calabria.
