Collection: Asdrubali Gianni
Gianni Asdrubali (Tuscania, 1955) is an Italian painter.
Since 1979, Asdrubali has focused his research on the idea of emptiness as the original nucleus of his work. Over the years, this research has materialized in the image of a frontal adimensional space.
In 1984, in contrast to the dominant climate of those years (transavantgarde and post-modern), he took part in the Astrazione Povera movement theorized by the critic Filiberto Menna. Also in those years, he exhibited for the first time at the La salita gallery in Rome and at the Artra gallery in Milan.
